Not sure if I have this in the right thread. We have a print server setup on a windows server 2003 box and we run an AD on a server 2003 as well.
When ever I bring a PC into the domain (sometimes they are new or I have to delete the old Computer Account and allow the system to create a new one) sometimes when I go to manually add a Printer an error will pop up saying "There is a policy in place that is preventing you from mapping this printer."
I know there is no policy preventing this and all users have manage rights to the printer que and the ability to print to the printer. I sometimes have to take the PC back out of the domain, delete the computer account (if it's there), rejoin the domain with the PC and generally this works. Sometimes I have to do this 2 or 3 times.
Any Idea on why this is happening and if so is there a way on how I can fix/stop this from happening?
