I did some searches, yesterday, and saw where this has popped up since 2005. In every post, either a patch and/or the IUSR_SWC is added to IIS. That last part, is total Greek to me. Is this fixable without going to Nortel and paying a nominal fee or is there no endrun available? Obviously, we need to restore this functionality. This started last week (just so happens to be after our monthly maintenance loaded Hotfixes).

Any and all solutions are sought and welcome. Thanks, in advance, for walking me through this.

no matter where you go, there you are.

What patch release are you on, and when did the issue start (e.g. after updating patches)?

Generally, this is an issue with the IUSR account which is setup in your IIS configuration.

Here are some notes I've written down on the subject:

Start->run-> type lusrmgr.msc and add the user IUSR_SWC to IIS_WPG group, if it does not already exist

Launch IIS Manager and expand Application Pools folder. Right click NT_webServicesPool and select Properties. Under the Identity tab, re-set the NT_WebServicesPool to run under IUSR_SWC user and enter IUSR_SWC Password (Reset the IUSR_SWC password to Why Not to be safe).

Update the Security Tab on the Windows/Temp folder to Add local User: IUSR_SWC with Read Access, if it does not already exist

Restart the IIS Service

If you still get an error when launching CCMA, delete the IceAdmin account, then recreate it by going to IceAdmin Password Change (in the Nortel Configuration Console).

Restart the IIS Service

This started last week, just after hotfixes and patches were applied. We are currently on:
CCMA_6.0_SU_07
CCMA_6.0_SUS_0701
CCMA_6.0_SUS_0702
CCMA_6.0_SUS_0703

All loaded on 10/29 and all say that they are active.

Thank you for the notes. That is great.

Rachelle if a Patch causes you a problem, Nortel is obligated to fix it. However it may fall on the back of your vendor to resolve under your maintenance contract. I wouldn't think you would be charged anything unless your operating under Time and Materials contract. . .
