Cant Activate Norton Internet Security on XP

Hello ppl! I just installed Norton Internet Security on a Dell with XP. I cant turn the seciruty on. Symantec says to uninstall and re-install. Done it and didnt fixed it.
Also the say ro use a removal tool called Rnis.exe but I cant get to find that tool in symantec web-site.

Please any advise will be welcome!!

Is it possible u have a virus already? Have you done a virus scan in safe mode? Some new viruses/worms attack and disable firewall and antivirus programs. Just a thought.

What version do you have? I believe NIS 2002 is the first one which is XP compatible.
