I have CC6.2 with both Digital & IP (1150E) set Agents working for a longtime.

Just tried adding another IP set and I can't Acquire the TN
Says "Acquired Failed" no matter what I do.
Tried numerous TN's and IP phone type etc.

I CAN build and Acquire Digital sets with no problem.

Any Thoughts

2 things comes to mind, set is not acd and/or license in CC has been reached.

Would not be a license issue in CC6 as sets/TN's are not licensed. You can build as many phones as you want. Even the Agent Position in Configuration/Historical settings should (at least does in newer versions) let you build beyond what you have configured. Only when an agent logs in on a phone will an agent license be used.

Set must be ACD and needs the ACD key, NRD key, and MSB key. Cannot be a 1200 series IP phone or a phone with less keys than needed for the required keys.

As you have done this with Digital phones I am going to guess you have the right keys and will assume you have an 1100 series phone with enough buttons.

Then I would look in the Windows Event Viewer after trying to acquire and see if there is a relevant error in there that provides additional details. (I am assuming you are co-resident CCMA/CCMS, if not you should check on CCMS.)

If nothing helpful there then look at the logs on CCMS d:\avaya\logs\ccms. Look at the recent CCMS_AML log (it will have they date appended to the name). Search for acquire. You should see where the CCMS sent a message to the CS1K to acquire the set and it should have a status that says what happened.

***FIXED*** [lipstick2]...but not in a way that gives warm fuzzies [neutral]
Thanks guys for all the suggestions.

Here's the weirdness (short version)

I was accessing the Web Admin app over the local network from my laptop.
I beat on this for hours...adding, IP TN's Deleting IP TN's...no joy.

[li]Could always Acquire Digital TN's[/li]
[li]Could never Acquire IP Tn's[/li]
[/ul]

Then I had the brainstorm to Remote Desktop to the CC6 server.
My plan was to look in the Event Log to see if anything was amiss.
Seeing I just got on the CC6 desktop, I thought, what the heck, let's run the Web Admin right on the CC6 server
Volia [2thumbsup] I could instantly acquire the IP TN's that were sitting unacquired.
I added-deleted-acquired-deacquire IP TN's on the CC6 Desktop with no problems.

Then I logged out and went back in on my laptop.
I added-deleted-acquired-deacquire IP TN's with no further problems.

My first business computer I worked on had 4K of RAM . It worked just fine [lol]
