I have installed a windows 2000 server in my home connected to a Dlink swith which provides wirelss net access to my laptop and pc.Everyhing seems to work fine except I can't access network shares- I can see the server but can'y browse it. When I set up a share by using the IP address of the server I then can access the share. The Dlink router provides dhcp to all machines. Also when i try to see the workstations from the server i can't see any machines except the server. I can ping all machines using IP and names. The event log on the server shows a 5781 Netlogon error. I have no clue how to solve this. Do I need to run a DNS server on the server even though the router is providing that info?
