I have IIS running on my server. I can access the website fine from the internet but not from the LAN. I have tried access it from the LAN using the web server's IP, NETBIOS name but neither of them work. When I ping from a pc on the LAN my www. address i get replies from my local server 192.x.x.x .

Any suggestions?

If you ping your and get a local ip address as the response then it appears as if something is wrong. Do you have any http-headers set up for the site? Also do you have any conflicting entries in the hosts file?

What kind of network are you running (windows domain)?

You need to setup a record on your internal DNS server, so that when you browse to the site internally it will point to the internal address of the web server.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!
