my setup is this:
o bellsouth DSL
o Touch speed Home Alcatel Modem
o Linksys BEFW11S4 Router
o Linksys WPC11 V3 PCMCIA Card
o SMC SMC2635W Wireless Cardbus Adapter
o Xircom CBE@-100 (non-wireless) ethernet card
o Nortel Contivity Client to access employers VPN

I am able to access the VPN when I use the Xircom (hardwire) card. But the wireless cards do not allow me to login, giving the following error:
"login failed. Please verify that the login information is correct."
I know that my info is correct. What would differentiate the hardwire connection from the wireless connection?

Not sure, but have your tried a sniffer to look at the difference between the two logon attempts. There are now wireless sniffers on the web for download.

Could provide some answers. Good luck.

Model # of router is listed above. I disabled 'IPSec Pass Through' option on the router and everything is now working.

Do you have an internet access on wireless? Try to establish first your internet connection, and if you still cant access your VPN tunnel you could try using a software called DR.TCP. It is a software where you could change the MTU settings on the card.

Shocker is right that a common problem is an MTU issue. There are many utilities to set your MTU value, I along with shocker like the freeware DRTCP utility available from http:\\
Do a Tweak Test while you are there (Select Tools from the choices on the left). At the end of your Tweak Test the DRTCP download link is shown on the bottom left.

You might adjust your RWIN value while you are at it.

1400 MTU seems to work best with the native XP VPN client.
