Can't access to default page without entered the file name

Hi all,

os : NT version 4 sp 6

I set the default.asp as the default page at the default web site properites under documents tag and move as the first item.

Access to default.asp without entering the file name e.g url :

http://nt.com

, msg displayed : You are not authorised to view this page.

It work fine if url :

http://nt.com/default.asp.

Can anyone help me to find the solutions, I hv tried so many way for 2 days......
