can't access the other 98 pc and 2000 pc

Hi, I have a 98pc used to be share files with the other 98pc and 2000pc, now I only can see the other pcs from netwotk neighborhood but can't see any drives of the other pcs. However from other pcs I can access the drives and files of the 98pc with the probelm. Plesae help! Thanks

You must install and enable "file and print sharing" on the other PC's. This is needed inorder to shere files over the network. To do so right click on Network Neighborhood and go to properties. Next click add and then Service. Find the File and print sharing fo Microsoft Networks and add it. Next in the middle/bottom of the Network page click on the File adn Print Sharing button and select share files on this compuer (or something to that effect). Once you are done hit apply and OK then you will have to restart. James Collins

Thanks your replies, "file and print sharing" are enabled on other pcs, the 98pc with problem can see other pcs but can't access them. Thanks again.

The 98 PC can see the other PC's from Network Neighborhood but cannot access them? If you do a ping from the "bad" 98 pc is there packet loss? James Collins
