I'm not able to access station data commands on the 2400ics PC. It's a Windows 98 OS and i'm not sure if the PC has been rebooted in recent weeks. I can access up to the point of putting the item code i,e: RALM, it only inputs RAL and when you enter M it's just blank. Another issue is that you can't back up the main memory to the Disk's, you can save from the memory to the HDD, but not from the HDD to the MAT/Disks. Both the previous tech's who worked this site are no longer with us and i have no real experience on the NEC systems. Any help would be appreciated.

The PBX will function just fine with or without the MAT PC running.

If you're certain that it isn't an OAI server (unlikely) and it's only function is to run MAT commands when needed then you're free to restart that PC.

Thank you.

Have another question. I'm trying to run an "LSTN" but getting "error OM AT IPB7C6H" memory allocation error.... cannot start command. exiting. Then i have to login into the system again at the C:\

This looks like a PC issue. Possibly a corrupted MAT command, or a HDD sector issue. (They are all small executable programs). If you have the MAT installation disks I suggest reading the disks and look for the LSTN file and copy it back into the MAT directory.

I agree.
It sounds like that Windows 98 box is going "Tango Uniform".

Do you have the install disks? if not I have the old DOS mat on a machine somewhere and you could move to an XP machine if you have one.

One thing to your original post:

I have 2400 ICS and still use the old DOS MAT for it on a Win XP computer. Usually, when you type the commands, they all show up with CAPITAL letters - even when you don't have CAPS LOCK enabled on your keyboard. So what I found is that if somehow I turn on CAPS LOCK, and try to type in a command, I get what you describe in your original post.
