All of a sudden I can't access SQL Server remotely. I am using Windows Server 2003 and I have the following ports open: 1434, 1434 but still no luck. I know its a firewall issue because if I disable the firewall I can connect to the SQL Server.

I have also added the programs SQL Server and SQL Server Browser to the firewall exceptions and still not working. Is there something that I am missing?

Are you connecting to a named instance or to the default instance? If the default instance is SQL listening on the default port or another port?
