Can't access my CR-RW drive

I've added a new hard drive to my system and in the process lost access to my CD-RW drive. It shows up on My Computer as drive H;, but when I try to access it, I get a message asking me to insert a disk. I continue to get the same message even after a disk is inserted. I'm using Windows Me. My CD-ROM (G) works fine. How can I fix this?

Did you checked the master/slave settings ?
What is on IDE1 and IDE2 and how are these devices set up?
