Can't access main form before second form is close. How?

This is another one of my blank moments . I've done it before a long time ago, but for the life of me I can't remember how it is done.

When a button is clicked on the main form, a smaller form appears which contains the options for the application. Now I want the main form to be inaccessible, i.e. no buttons, etc are active, until the smaller form is closed.

I know it is something simple .....
