Cant access linksys BEFSR41 4 port router

Dont know why but it wont let me access me router, keep getting a blank IE page. Tried pinging it as well and still cant get a response from the router itself. The ADSL works great though, tried both crossed cables and straight cables but neither worked.

Any suggestions as to why I cant set up my router?

Also Im running XP Home edition, DHCP is enabled as well. I have a page with my ISP where I can register MAC addresses but Im not sure if that will solve the problem or not.

The WAN network light has continuosly stayed red. I cant ping the default address nor can I log onto the router to change any settings.

Anyone have any type of suggestions??

I had the same problem and its because I assigned the LAN address in the router with a static IP address (which means you can’t access the web interface from the LAN or specific pages of it you can’t). You might want to try resetting your Linksys router (hold down the reset button for a few seconds) and then try accessing the page after that point.
