Running Win2k SP2, when I use IE 5.5sp2 to click on a link for an Access DB file on our intranet it comes up with the message "You have chosen to download a file from this location.....What would you like to do with this file". The option to "Open this file from it's current location" is greyed out and the only option I have available is "Save this file to disk". This works fine from another pc running IE 5.0sp2 and when I click on the link from that pc the Access db opens. I checked the browser settings on both pc's and they appear to be the same. I also checked that the "Confirm open after download" was turned on in My computer/file types for the Access db file type.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I found a possible workaround in MS Technet article Q232077. Let me know if anyone knows of any other registry hacks or some other way around this without having to change the html code.
