First time setting up IIS for an Intranet. All seems to go well with the install of IIS. I can access the web server if I use Administrator ID & password from a NT workstation but trying to access from any other WIN 98/95 workstation on the LAN gives me a password request box for user "\\Server\\IPC$". All setting for IIS have been left at the default which I have been told is ok for our environment. I have no idea as to why the password request comes up as IIS has been set for annonomous access. Sure could use some help on this one.
Thanks,

make sure iis is setup to allow anonymouse access... and that a userid is made for it... and that the user id has rights in the directory...

Another thing to make sure, is to go the the properties of your website in IIS, and go to the tab that says operators. There will be Administrator there by default, add the IUSR_GUEST account to it. Should be able to hit it after that.
