Hello!

I was installing the Debian distro and I think I have a mess now....
Of course it's not Debian fault (at work I use Debian), it's my fault. Instead of installing grub on hda, I did it on hda1.
Now, I am not able yo access the 'C:' drive in win98/DOS. Can't access it from Linux too. I just can work on 'D:' (hda2).
I know the solution is reinstalling win98SE but I want to restore the hda1, ,'cause I am not the only one at home using that machine.. :(
I've read the following links

but couldn't find the solution yet...
From the win98SE boot disk I've tried fdisk /mbr without success....
Is there any possibility on rescueing my hda1 ?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

You should be able to transfer the M$/Win system files to the C: drive in the same way as you might do to create a bootable floppy, i.e. using the 'sys' command :

SYS C:

Hope this helps
