can't access data on expired tapes 1

I have tried to get some data from backup tapes that have "expired" but arcserve 6.0 for netware won't let me do it, even though the manual says that you can use tapes that have expired. I choose restore, then media view and when you click on the little arrow next to each of the tapes that have expired, they won't open up. I really need to access this data and can't figure out how else to do it, please help

Try merging the tape back into the database first.
