Recently I formatted my HDD and installed W2K (previously had W98). However, now that I've tried to reinstall Office 2000, it says that this copy of Office already exists on another computer, blah, blah, blah. It warns me that I only have so many times to use it before I'm forced to register, so I've just been opening Access and leaving it open, as I've got a big project to work on. However, I can't access certain objects, such as Combo Boxes, in the VBA editor, while I can access the Form and Command buttons. Also I've noticed that I can't get to some parts of the help system. Does anyone know if this stuff is a direct result of my Office not being fully registered yet, or is it something completely different that I'm missing?
Thanks in advance,

Joe

Sometimes you need to purposely select the macro and help options when installing. Many people never get to the macro programming, and don't use them.

Second, you may wish to check to see if your ActiveX files have been referenced.

Go to any "code" page in the Macro Editor, click on Tools, References. Many of the Microsoft controls are contained in OCX files. It's a matter of selecting the right ones.

I also believe that once you've installed and registered Office 2000 and you reinstall, you must re-register, explaining to Microsoft why you need another "unlocking" code.
