Hi,

I have an user that prints to the Canon iR C4580i from 64-bit Vista. It used to work before but now it does not work anymore.

We used Job Accounting functionality in the company. At the moment, only printing the test page works. When we tried to print from within emails or MS Office, the ID/Password windows does not come up, thereby not sending the print job over to the printer.

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the driver but no luck. Restoring the laptop to an earlier date when the printer is working fine does not solve the issue as well.

I would really appreciate for any solutions asap as the user is my CEO.

Thanks in advance.

Is the Printer listed in Control Panel\Printers, is it listed as being the Default Printer? Is it ticked as "Use Offline"?

Is this a Networked Printer, if so, are other Domain Users experiencing problems?

Have you tried removing, deleting, the actual Printer, and setting it up again?

If you "Show Hidden Devices" in Device Manager, are the Printers mentioned?

Is the User's Credentials (for Printer or Domain) stored in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Credential Manager, if not can you add them to the list?
