My Canon 4200 printer prints, but in pictures there is a venetian blind effect in items other than text.
Any suggestions to eliminate it.
I cleaned the rollers, changed cartridges, no help.

hollandale,

Canon's support site suggests the following.

Perform a Nozzle test:

1. Make sure printer is powered off.
2. Press and hold the Power button until the printer beeps four times.
3. The Nozzle test should print a grid the colors of which are determined by the type of BJ ink cartridge in the printer.

If the lines of the grid are broken, colors are missing or no ink is dispersed; perform several print head cleanings:

1. Make sure printer is turned on.
2. Press and hold the RESUME button for at least two seconds until the printer beeps twice.
3. The POWER light will blink for several seconds while the print head is being cleaned.
