i'm suddenly having problem placing RGB images in InDesign. when i try to place a jpeg for a web catalog i'm building i keep getting a CannotParse error and it won't place the image. any one have this problem?

Does this happen on all RGB JPGs or just the one you are working with? Can you grab a JPG from someone's webpage and place that?

There are many flavors of JPG. You may not have one that InDesign likes.

jimoblak,

i had a bunch of scans that were saved as jpg fomat. this set of jpgs was not placing but other jpgs were placing fine. your comments made me realize that there was probably something in the scan settings that indesign didnt like. i tried opening each jpg in photoshop and saving them in tiff format. they now place fine.

thanks for your feedback.
