I am using office 2003 trying to view a docx zip file. the file unzips with a word folder, inside the folder is a doucment.xlm file whih opens in html code. If the file were just a file with a docx extension then I could convert it. How do I view the data in the zipped file after it is unziped.

cannot view data in docx zip file

Word 2007 format (.docx) documents consist of several separate xml files arranged in a hierarchy, which are all zipped up into a single zip archive. Word 2007 (or earlier versions if you have the Compatibility Pack installed) read the zip archive; they do not, and can not, read the unzipped folder structure. So, zip the thing back up and try again.
