Cannot view % complete line within duration bar in Gant View

I have updated tasks partially complete from the tracking gant view, but when i revert to Gant view the black % line does not appear in the bar.
Conversly in tracking view, i loose formatting to gridlines and the bar colours change to a different colour.

If i apply gant chart wizard this does infact show the percent complete line, gridlines remain but bar colour changes!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Each view in Project has different formats. Apply the Tracking Gantt view and then take a look at Format > Bar Styles, to see the definition of the Progress line.

You can then add Progress lines to the default Gantt chart view.

Yes, if you run the Gantt chart Wizard it will over write any custom formatting you do.
