I am running a FTP server off of BulletProof FTP server software.

I have set up my router to accept connections via port 21.

When users connect to download, it works fine. However, when they attempt to upload a file to me , it doesnt work.

I am sure it has something to do with my router because i can connect to myself LOCALLY and upload fine.

Please help me out!

Thanks!

You can check, but I will bet that when you upload, the data is going to port 20, not 21. 21 is typically used for authentication only, but today, many servers support PASV mode, where the data is downloaded on port 21 as well.

Open port 20 and would expect your uploads to work fine.
