Cannot update. Database or object is read-only. (ERROR)

I have an access xp database that is displaying this Error mssg all of a sudden when my code trys to to a ExportFixed command.

DoCmd.TransferText acExportFixed, "bai_format", "tbl_bai_format", "c:file.txt", False

Any help would be greatly appreciated ...

I got that message today when trying to do an export of a table. It only happened when I tried to export to the same folder my Database was in. Is this the case for your code as well?

It was happening if the file already existed on disk.

Have you tried to delete the file if it exists. Try using the FileSystemObject to check if the file exists then delete it.
