Cannot update contact2 fields

For some reason, I can't access the drop-downs and edit any of my contact2 fields. This happened suddently. Everything in contact1 works perfectly. What could be the problem?

What version of GoldMine are you running? Is it a dBASE, FireBird or SQL database?

Yes I did this as well. When I click on the contact2 fields, the Address1 field becomes selected.

Sounds like a corrupt Fields5 table... You have a couple of options.

1) Try to pinpoint and fix the corruption (Would probably need to hire someone to do this for you) -or-

2) Restore your Fields5 from a known good backup.

check the LAYOUT tab in the field properties of all the fields on your fields tab. Make sure all the fields (including expressions used as labels!) have POSITION values that are unique. For bonus points, put them in order so tabbing from field to field works the way it's supposed to.
