I'm having problems uninstalling norton from my computer. It keeps asking for a .msi file. I think the one on my machine is corrupt. Is there a workaround to this?
First, clean your computer from virusses if needed (using another computer with AV already installed or floppy disks).
Also run scandisk.
Now, try to go to PROGRAM FILES, and delete the "InstallShield Installation Information" folder or only the relevant subfolder of it, which has the time stamp of when you try to install NAVCE last time.
Now try to reinstall from a good copy, and then uninstall if you do not need it.
Another options, if you only need to disable NAVCE but it is working, you can uncheck the LOAD NORTON ANTI VIRUS SERVICES check box.
