Questions;

1)I was wondering if I could use the USB ports to transfer a ASDM.bin, but the cisco web site states "Reserved for future use". IS there a way to access them like flash?

USB Port — — Reserved for future use.

2) Any ideas on how I can move some files into the flash, I had read errors on the TFTP so i formated it. Its now blank and I have the running config active but after a reboot im dead in the water. Any ideas on what I can do to transfer asdm.bin and asa802.bin to a flash?

3) How do I know its bad flash? Its a brand new ASA.

Thanks for your help

I know this works on routers - Plug the USB drive into the port on the asa, you should get a message saying it found one - now just format it.
format ?
and it should show you the usb drive. Just follow the prompts.

Now you should be able to copy the files to it from a pc and then copy them to the asa flash.

I'll try it later tomorrow, but it's worth a shot.
