Hi,
I run Arcserve 2000 sp4 on windows 2000 sp3. I cannot stop active job. I'm getting err.'Cannot stop job. Under task manager I do not have asrunjob.exe; so I cannot stop it manually. Any suggestions are appeciated.
Please help!
Thanks,

1) Stop all engines.

2) Go to \00000001.QSD folder located within the Arcserve directory, whereever you may have it installed.

3) You should see *.JOB files, *.QJF, and *.QUF files. If there is anything else in there (fragment file) delete it.

4) Restart engines, see if JOB(s) appear normal.

5) If the job is still hung up after this, you may have to try deleting everything in the \00000001.QSD folder, but you will then have to recreate your job(s) from scratch. Arcserve will recreate the other files automatically.

6) Since this has happened in the past to me, when jobs are running smoothly, I always create a backup of this folder. This way I can quickly restore a hung job to a relatively healthy state. Do this regularly, especially if you change options within a job.

Good luck!!

I've applied patch qo20824 and it fixed the problem. I could stop the job .
Thanks both of you!
