Cannot Start Reminder Service. Unable to show reminders

On starting Outlook XP the above messae appears. I have tried re-creating the profile in question. I have also upgraded to service pack 3. Finally I tried a run command
to open outlook. The command is:

Outlook.exe /resetfolders /clearreminders.

This still did not fix the problem. Bar reloading office I have come to a dead end. Any offers.
