Hello everyone!
I have a really sever problem: For my studies I have to develop a Java Server Page based application. At home I have my "home PC" and my notebook and on both Tomcat 4.0.2 is running.
But yesterday I only had my notebook with me and tried to execute a servlet which I had written and it failed because the browser wanted to connect to the internet. The error message was: "This site cannot be displayed in offline mode". But the URL I called was: "
PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS ISSUE!!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

it may help if you switch any proxy settings off. if this works then there is probably somewhere in the browser where you can exclude certain addresses from going through the proxy.

you could also try using '127.0.0.1' instead of 'localhost'
