I am using Firefox (the latest version) in Windows XP. I could not start it. When I click the shortcut, nothing happened. I looked at the Task Manager and there was no Firefox in either Application tab or Process tab.
I did a configuration change before the problem occured. The change is to eliminate the "Restore Previous Session" dialog.
Here is where I got the tip:
I am not sure that is the source of the problem because the tip worked before on another xp computer. Maybe I made a typo when making the change.
The problem seemed to be related to profile, because I could start FF using "Run as" another administrator user.
I tried the DOS command "firefox.exe -profilemanager" but could not start the Profile Manager.
Any suggestions? Is there a way to get into the "About:config" screen without starting firefox?
