Cannot start Arcserve Server Admin utility

Hi,
Can anybody tell me why the 'server admin' cannot start - err. message: program not respond. All other parts of ArcServe 2000 can start and seem work properly.
Do I need to reinstall software in order get access to this, what happens to prevously done backups?
Can anybody help?
