Cannot start application because the file association cannot be found

When I schedule a report instance in Info Desktop and specify an Info Server, the report runs successfuly. But when I try to view it, I get an error message: Cannot start application because the file association cannot be found for the given file type.

This occurs frequently on this particular info server.
Can anyone tell me what this is happening?
