Hi,
I wonder if anyone has seen this before, we have a user who has set up some dial in connections to our customers.

sometimes when the connection is active they cannot disconnect, they have a tick in the checkbox to show if the it is connected, but this does not show in the taskbar.

if we use task manger we can see in network that the connection is active but we cannot see it in the applications tab

The only way the user can disconnect is to restart there machine, even pulling the modem cable out does not work

The user is using Windows XP, we have 6 other users who have RAS connections set up and no of those have any problems what so ever

any info would be appreciated

Regards

Paul

If you are using XP, can you go into my network places, view network connections. This will also show the dialed up connections as well as lan other options. The status should advise what the connection is doing. If the connection for the dialled up connection is enabled or active if you right click is there an option to disconnect or disable ? If so try doing this does the connection disconnect?
