I have a samba share created on LINUX which i have mapped to my windows server .

The windows servers has a SSH server installed , and i can SFTP into the server from any linux SSH client.
I have defined virtual directories on my windows SSh server for this samba share drive.

When i do SFTP from linux ssh client to the windows server , i am not able to see the samba share mapped directory . although local drives are seen and can be ftpied properly.

I am using a windows local user (part of local admin) to do SFTP .

Is there any permissions i need to give or grant to see this mapped directory.

please advise

thanks
Rakesh

I don't think you can mix the smb and ssh protocols.
If you want to transfer files from the Linux host to the Windows share, use the smbclient utility.
If you still wish to use sftp, then your destination needs to be the actual path on the Windows server and not the share name.

Hope that helps.

Rakesh
