Hello

I have a P Pro IBM 365 Workstation with Windows 98 installed and I cannot set the Virtual Memory size. When it's on "Let Windows manage my virtual memory settings" the computer works very slow (when i installed DirectX 8.1 it took 5 minutes to update the files after restart).
If I choose "Let me specify my own virtual memory settings" it says "C:\0 MB Free" and "D:\0 MB Free". I have no clue about this.

Thank you so much!

Check the size of the windows swap file (win386.swp)

If it seems normal (about 1-2 times the amount of RAM in your system), then I would just leave it. But if not, then do this:

1) Go to Start->Shutdown->Restart in MS-DOS Mode
2) Go to the location of the swap file (usually C:\Windows)
3) Type del win386.swp and hit enter
4) If there are no errors, just hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart the PC. A new swap file will be created on the next boot.

Then go back and see if you can adjust the size manually now.
