Cannot send SMTP Alert from 11.5 SP3

I am having an issue with a couple of the servers I take care of. Specifically, I cannot send out the backup alert via SMTP whenever ARCServe finishes a backup (successfully or not). I have all of the SMTP settings set correctly, it just doesn't want to send out at all. Other servers w/ ARCServe do not have this issue, so I am at a loss. The users can use the same SMTP settings for their outgoing mail and it works just fine. Am I missing something?

What about your antivirus? Have you checked if this is blocking the emails on these servers?

configure SMTP through the Alert Manager, then send a test message and follow the Alert activity log in the Alert GUI. What error message appears ??
