Hi all,

whenever my Pix501 boots, the last line of text displayed is always "cannot select private key". I've erased the memory, configured to factory default, and i still get the error.

I'm also still running out of memory on the pix, even with a default all out, none in, no VPN config - that fails to allow any traffic out btw.

Is it possible I have a hardware failure?

Hmmm... Interesting. Shot in the dark, but give these commands a try:

ca zeroize rsa
ca save all
ca gen key rsa 1024
ca save all

This is the key the PIX uses for HTTPS and SSH connections, among other things. It's the only thing I can think of.

Excellent! Resetting the keys sorted it out.

Thanks guys.
