I have a network of all win98 machines. I just added an XP machine. I cannot see the XP machine in the Network Neighbourhood of the win98 machines. I can ping the xp machine as well as map a network drive but cannot see machine in Network Neighborhood. Using TCP/IP and Netbeui on win98 machines. Any suggestions

Have you enabled NetBIOS on the XP machine?
Open the connection properties for the network connection, -> select Internet Protocol TCP/IP -> Properties -> Adcanced -> WINS tab -> Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP.

. enable Netbios over TCP/IP as above.
. Disable the Computer Browser service on the XP machine. Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Stop the service and set its startup type to disabled.
