I have a windows2003 server setup and I've loaded IIS on it. My webpage work and I am able to see my webpage externally but not internally. when I type in my pubic ip address on my server or anywhere on my internal network I can't see it. outside I can see my webpage just fine. I am guessing that it is an DNS problem but do not know where the problem is.

anyone know how to fix this?

If you are attempting to use the public address, then you need to make sure you have an internal lookup zone for your external namespace. This is known as split-brain DNS.

For example, if your website is then in you INTERNAL DNS infrastructure, you need a forward lookup zone for contoso.com, then an A record for points to the internal IP address of the webserver.

This takes planning, as you need to usually duplicate all records from your external namespace in your newly created internal zone.
