The background image on is not visible on all computers. To be precise, it is visible on all except the one belonging to the boss of the organisation.
He is using IE6 on win98, 16bit colour. Everything else is ok bar this silly picture.
Any ideas? Peter Meachem

petermeachem..

The image file your Boss cannot view is Can he view .jpg's locally on his HD? If not try links below.

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, point to & click on Internet
Options, click the Advanced Tab & scroll down to Multimedia and see if you
have a check mark in Show Pictures

Advanced Tips..Item 9.
Info:
These fixes are to restore the way JPG and GIF files used to open in Internet Explorer. This may be necessary if you are having problems opening JPG and GIF files, or if they are opening in another program, and you would like to change it back to Internet Explorer.

My apologies for not suggesting the "Repair" function in Internet Explorer first.......[duh]

I assume you may have tried it but if you haven't:

Start•Settings•Control Panel•Add/Remove Programs•scroll to Microsoft Internet Explorer•Add/Remove Button•Choose Repair•OK

I don't think that is the problem. He can see all other pictures. The buttons and stuff are gif's and they are ok, and the picture on the top left of each page is massage.jpg, which is again ok. It's just that background. I set IE to show a marker for images while they are loading, and nothing was shown. It's just this image, possibly because it is a background?
I've just noticed that the page has the name as Vtct_montagebig.JPG, as knowing how picky some programmes are about case, I've made a copy of it with this exact title.
I'll get him to take a look sometime. Peter Meachem
