cannot save word documents

Hi, I have a few users that have rights to a file that is a directory. they have read writes to the directory and full rights on this file!

the issues i'm having is when word open's the file it needs to create a temp file but it can't because the user doesn't have rights in that directory only to the file!

is there anyway in word to modify the location it creates temp files?

Unfortunately, temp file must be created in the source directory to block 2 users from trying to simultaneously edit the same document.
