I am using wordperfect 7 and I am trying to save a document to a floppy disk and it wont let me.
I go to file - "save as" and move the drop down list to the floppy drive and it just takes me back to the default drive.
the disk is formatted and works. Is this a problem with Corel?
Any suggestions?

I haven't seen that problem before (which doesn't mean, of course, that you aren't experiencing it).

Anyway, if you are running WP7 on a network, I have seen some networks set up to no allow you to access (or write) to the floppy drive (usually to protect against viruses in a school environment). Not likely, but that could be the case for you.

In most SaveAs situations I have dealt with, typing A:MyFile (or whatever) with the path as part of the name will allow you to accomplish it. It's not as smooth or intuitive, but it usually works.

I dont think it would be a network problem.
I did try the "A:\filename" option and that works but I was wondering if I can make it work the other way. It doesnt make sense that they would have that option and it doesnt work. Thanks for your suggestions.

I have run into this same issue with WP8 and WP9 The only way I am able to fix this is to uninstall the program delete the corel folder and reinstall.
