Cannot save optimised

I have been doing some work for a company using their version of CS2. It refuses to 'save optimised as'. They tell me it is a legit copy, although I have not seen the boxes. Could this be the cause and how do I check if their copy is legal?

Click on "Edit in ImageReady" and you will see the "Save Optimised As" option there.

That option isn't available in PS. AFAIK

It is the save optimised option in Image ready which doesn't work. It is not greyed out but clicking it has no effect. My version is an older one but that works OK.
