Cannot save configuration file to router using Fast Step

I am configuring a Cisco 805 router through the console port using the Fast Start configuration software. At the end of the configuration fast start tries to setup and test the router but comes back with the error message which says it cannot communicate with the router. The router is powered on and all cables are properly connected. Do you have any ideas?

Have you check with your regular terminal program?
like Hyperterminal... You 'd get response from router when you hit ENTER key.

Use Hyper terminal with a rollover cable to log in to the router and try saving it that way. Make sure you settings are correct. (9600 Bud rate)

this may be a dumb question however did you start a the beginning of the fast setup to ensure that a connection was getting to the router. sometimes this takes a few times to get a connection. Jeter@LasVegas.com
