Cannot start a VB.Net app from a scheduled task. I get the error "0xE0434352". I have set the task to run as an administrator with the highest privileges. I can run it manually, or when called from a batch file, or from a command prompt. Any ideas?

In case anyone else has this problem. I managed to fix it but not sure if I did it the correct way.
This program was moved from a 2003 to a 2012 server

It appears that any reference to a Messagebox.Show throws an error that crashes the program even if you have specific code to bypass the Messagebox when running from a task. I had to remove the references Messagebox to get it to run properly. Very frustrating because I was using the same exe for both the user interactive version and the task version with the code to bypass any user interaction when running as a task on the old 2003 server. Now it looks like I will have two programs.

I think the issue is you have to set the task to be interactive for that bit of code to not cause a problem.

I hope that helps.

Mark

Mark, I don't see any setting for interactive in the Task Scheduler. Could you tell me where it is?
