Why can't I ping computers connected on Ethernet 2 from computers on Ethernet 1.(by the way all computers gateway connected on Ethernet 1 is the ip address of Ethernet 1 port of the router). I dont have any access-list. I just want only to connect the two networks. Also my ios is c1600-y-mz.120-17. (with 4MB of flash and 8 MB of memory). Here is my configuration:
!
!
interface Ethernet0
ip address 172.29.168.6 255.255.255.0
no ip directed-broadcast
interface Ethernet1
ip address 172.29.162.7 255.255.255.0
no ip directed-broadcast

Hope you can help me,
Renan

Best Guess:
You are pinging from a host connected to a different
network than that attached to the other interface and your routing is not configured correctly.

Post the output of sh ip route.

On all the machines on the 172.29.168.x network make sure their default gateway is 172.29.168.6. Make sure they can ping 172.29.168.6.

On all the machines on the 172.29.162.x network make sure their default gateway is 172.29.162.7. Make sure they can ping 172.29.162.7.

Make sure 'no ip routing' is not in your config.

Make sure the netmask is 255.255.255.0 on ALL machines.

on top of that, try to add a route on that two netowrk together to see if that helps

Also, make sure there is no "no ip classless" line
in your configuration =)
