Cannot retrive old mails in exchange2003 /Enterprise vault

Enterprise vault 2007
Exchange 2003
Sql2005
Windows 2003 ADS(Domain)


Issue faced by customer

Want to upgrade hardware for enterprise vault
Exchange database showing 75 GB Out of 77 Gb diskpace

Work Carried Out

Installed windows 2003 enterprsie server on new hardware with SQL 2005
Backup for existing vault datbase With BESR image and Full backup with symantec backup exec.
Installed and configured enterprise vault on new hardware.
Restored backup to enterprise vault.
Defragmentation of exchange 2003 database


Serious Issue faced

After restore the backup of enterprise vault database log files cannot be backup
In outlook 2003 on client side they are not geeting old mails.Say mails for year 2006 though it was there before the activity..


Anybody Gone through the same problem reply me urgent..
